A cliff dive in virtual reality!

Oculus headset allows users to experience the unique - and possibly slightly frightening - feeling of 27m cliff diving!

Ahead of the next Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series stop in Ireland, members of the public have been treated to the unique experience of cliff diving 27 metres!

Experienced through a headset, Oculus, an immersive virtual reality technology, have created a computer-generated 3D cliff diving experience that allows users to stand on the end of the platform and jump from 27 metres at the location of the next World Series stop in Inis Mór.

Tested by World Series divers Gary Hunt and Blake Aldridge during a recent visit to Ireland, the 3D technology blew them - and the public - away! Watch the video above to see how ready they were to dive!
