Episode 5 - Never surrender
After an up and down season, Paredes heads to the final showdown in Polignano a Mare with a slight chance of retaining the title he won 12 months ago. Despite the odds being against him, as well a frustrating shoulder pain, the Mexican is determined to fight to the very last dive in front of 70,000 passionate fans at the home of European cliff diving.

In 2017, Mexico's Jonathan Paredes conquered the 27 metre platform to become the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series Champion, grabbing the King Kahekili trophy from England's Gary Hunt in a thrilling season finale in Chile. But for the 28-year-old, one title is not enough. He wants to be the best and is determined to stay on top. But more than just a sport, cliff diving is a way of life; it defines him and his relationships, and how he lives his life. Those 3 seconds in the air are everything. He is chasing his dream, and 2018 will be no exception.
For this series, Paredes has granted us unprecedented access to his life at home, on the road and on the platform. During five episodes we will follow him from pre-season preparations right through to the season finale in Polignano a Mare, Italy.
Episode 4 - Learning from a legend
It's August, halfway through the season, and to help him draw inspiration for the remaining competitions as he looks to defend his world title, Jonathan Paredes turns to high-diving legend and good friend Orlando Duque. The reigning champion travels to Cali, Colombia, to spend some time with his mentor before heading back to Europe for two more crucial World Series stops in Copenhagen and Mostar. Can the lessons from a legend help push him to glory once again?
Episode 3 - No time for rest
It's been a slow start to the season for Paredes, but the defending champion has a new dive in his weaponry and knows he needs to get it firing if he wants to stay in contention for the title. Things don't go to plan at the third stop in the Azores, so it's back to the pool and training with his coach. Next stop Sisikon, and the Mexican turns on the style to give his season a much needed kick-start.
Episode 2 - Troubled waters
After a successful pre-season preparation, Paredes kicks-off his title defence at Hell's Gate in Texas. Unfortunately, it's not the start he was hoping for as reigning champion, and the disappointment forces the Mexican to refocus and dig deep to show the character of a champion. Can he continue to chase his dream at the second stop in Bilbao, Spain?
Episode 1 - New champion, new challenges
In 2018 everything is new for Paredes. At the nailbiting 2017 season finale in Chile, he clinched the World Series title with the very last dive of the series. Now he is the hunted, and he needs to be prepared better than ever - physically and mentally. In this episode, we take a glimpse into the Mexican's life at home as he looks back on an amazing title-winning season and begins his intense training regime ahead of the 10th anniversary season.
