09/09/1991
Country:
Australia
Resides in:
Newcastle, Australia

What started out with a stunning rookie-win in her first ever cliff diving competition in 2016, Rhiannan Iffland did not hesitate to take over the whole World Series – as a wildcard diver.

The 26-year-old showed no signs of slowing down when she took her 2nd trophy in 2017, even though an injury caused her to leave out the season's penultimate stop. During this forced break, the young Australian spent her time on recovery only. Chile, 2017's final, should've been more a test of her health than a serious competition; after her first dive – the Aussie went for a cold start into the game - all cautious thoughts were literally washed away and Iffland stated a roaring triumph, winning not only the stop but the whole World Series, too.

To complete her winning streak the queen of high diving also won the world championships title in Budapest, Hungary.

The laid-back Aussie-girl from New South Wales comes from a trampoline background and started her diving career around the age of nine. Although she performed at (and won) some national meets, she took the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series entirely by surprise. 2018 will be 'Rhi's' second season as a permanent diver. Will she become the first woman to win the title for a third time in a row?
