Competitive diving began in Mostar on Friday, as the world's best athletes took to the 28m platform on Stari Most. With Jucelino Junior missing the action due to illness, 13 divers battled it out for the seeding places in the scorching mid-afternoon heat.
Dives were performed with a fixed degree of difficulty of 3.8, and it was birthday boy Jonathan Paredes who snatched the lead with a superb effort. Gary Hunt wasn't far behind in 2nd, while Andy Jones shook off an injury to land in 3rd.
Jonathan was in high spirits after the round -
I feel great, it was a really good day for me. I've been having good results recently and I woke up really positive this morning. I'm super happy, and just want to keep diving like this.
