The 2019 champions will be crowned at the season finale in Bilbao

This event will be LIVE on September 14 at 6 PM local time (4 PM GMT) on www.redbullcliffdiving.com, Red Bull TV, Facebook & Youtube.

A finale as well as a premiere!

When the platforms on top of Bilbao's La Salve Bridge turn into the take-off strips for the year's final aesthetic free falls to define the winners of the 2019 King Kahekili Trophy, it will be the first time the women display their graceful art next to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

Located on the northern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, less than 20km south of the Bay of Biscay, the city lies within one of the most populous metropolitan areas in northern Spain. Ever since the 14th century, Bilbao has been a commercial hub, has experienced heavy industrialisation and has started a social, economic and aesthetic revitalisation process by the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. The diving location, the Salve Bridge, cuts through one vertex of the triangular site of the museum and will not only welcome the sailors returning from sea, but also the cliff diving elite.

With a rising number of athletes performing manoeuvres with 5 somersaults or 5 twists, and the difficulty in the women's reaching new heights, diving poise will be combined with growing complexity when the athletes launch from a venue that is intrinsically interwoven with the modern state of art.

After the huge success of the final showdown in 2015, Bilbao's La Salve Bridge will once again play host when the world's best cliff divers decide the season's overall winners.
